Safeguarding in Education Training
Shropshire Council's Safeguarding in Education Training offer is in alignment with relevant statutory requirements and local arrangements.
Please refer to the Shropshire Safeguarding in Education Training Statement to ensure training is in line with local arrangements for staff (including volunteers); DSLs/DDSLs and Governors/Trustees/Committee Members.
Training can be provided through:
- A whole setting offer (Setting Based Development: SBD). Please refer to Setting Based Safeguarding Offer and Costs 2025-2026. Please contact the relevant lead officer to discuss requirements and book.
- To individuals via our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) offer as outlined below

Once you have booked on, you will further details (such as links to join online), as part of your confirmation email.
Cancellation:
All non-attendance and short notice cancellations will be charged at the standard course/event fee rate.
Short notice cancellation is classed as any cancellation received less than seven days before the course/event date.
You’re welcome to substitute delegates or transfer them to a future course/event of the same type at short notice.
Charges and Invoicing:
Please note that relevant invoices and charges (including cancellation fees if applicable) will be sent to the indicated email address following the completion of the training.
